katdawg,

I think you are wrong in your response to the guy.

You don't need to be pro-Bush to be conservative or pro-Free Republic.

Bush is doing the wrong thing, and if put to a vote, I think you know that most "Republicans" would overhwlmingly oppose this legislation.

The guy has a point. If you voted for Bush, you've just been let down.

Yeah, but it was his tone I had a problem with. It didn't sound like he was upset with Bush, but moreso insulting the people of Free Republic and republicans IMHO.

Also, I have a problem with this piece of legislation by Bush as well, so I agree with everyone on that one.

Well, as I remember what we all said was we would wait until after the election and then strongly make our views known in this regard...

One sad fact is there was no difference between either candicate on the issue of illegal aliens; and in fact Kerry's position was more dangerous as he intended to sign an immediate "executive order" making all illegals citizens upon his inaguration.. you know something like the executive order Carter did upon he innaguration to give amnesty to all Vietnam-era war criminals and traitors.

What we need to do is every last one of us need to make our views heard loud and clear. Look at my posts last evening re: NumbersUSA and join with their fight. They are organized and I see no reason to reinvent the wheel rather add to their numbers (no pun intended).

Only if we become defeatists' in our thinking. We have the power in numbers. True the President isn't running again, but most of our congressional and Senatorial members are...

"Hint: it is a dumb question."

Not for those who would like to maintain their standard of living and not experience increases in crime, drugs, taxes, decreasing medical facilities, decreasing property values, etc.

Okay all you blindly loyal Bush supporters. Bush got re-elected as you wanted. Many of you said that if we all would just re-elect Bush he wouldn't try and ram this amnesty-lite program of his down Americans throat, against their will. Many of you also said you would deal with this after Bush was re-elected. So, how about it?! How do you plan to deal with it?! Or was all that talk just blow-hard bluster?!

Yeah, yeah... OK. But who cares, at least them dang homos won't be able to get married! < /sarcasm>

Here are some editorial links that might shed some light onto the matter:

http://www.vdare.com/sailer/bush_thinking.htm

E-mail, fax, or write your Congressmen and Senators on a regular basis to voice your concerns about unfettered illegal immigration. Constant pressure by the voting constituency is the primary means we can turn the tide against illegal immigration.

NumbersUSA and FAIR are non-profit organizations that have set up websites that facilitate fax sending to your Congressmen and Senators. The service is FREE OF CHARGE. You can access the websites where you can electronically send free faxes to Congress through these links:

http://www.numbersusa.com/fax

http://www.fairus.org
http://capwiz.com/fair/issues/bills/

I always attach the following P.S. to my faxes:

We closely monitor our Senators' and Congressmen's voting records on illegal immigration. Come election day, we cast our votes accordingly.

Finally, Americans for Better Immigration details how your Congressmen and Senators vote on key immigration issues.

I do not know whether the opinions are good or not. It makes for interesting food for thought, though.

There's not the votes to pass it.

Bush probably knew that when he brought it up.

Thanks. I know about V-Dare but never saw that before. It seems, from this article, he likes to hang with mexican toughs and rich south of the border types. It seems we are going to have a fight on our hands. I don't like this one bit.

I do not attest to the veracity of the facts presented. But it certainly makes for interesting reading.

The door is wide open for a new polical party, an America First party might just form over this issue since this issue splits both the Rat and GOP party but has the overwhelming support of the public. Should a big name Democrat or Republican decide to give it a try it might just work.

Exactly. As the Dems continue their rapid spiral down the drain of irrelevancy, the time is ripening for a new party to the right of the Republicans. Constitution Party, perhaps? It's still a bit premature, I think, but it's coming. I am waiting for it, me and my vote.
