One sad fact is there was no difference between either candicate on the issue of illegal aliens;

It's too bad the Libertarian Party is so pro-immigration and for all that "one world" stuff, or they might conceivably be viable.

At least the Libertarians favor secure borders to keep the terrorists out (i.e., deploying the military along the borders). Not perfect, but it's a vast improvement on what the Duopoly has in mind.

I agree that I do not know much about the Libertarian party, but my understanding was that they were basically for the elimination of national borders, and amnesty for all current illegal immigrants.

Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

You're right about the amnesty part, which is highly unfortunate, but wrong when it comes to elimination of borders. Their position is that we should allow in anyone who can pass a background check - no quotas. As for those who don't pass, their position is to have the military deal with them should they try to sneak in.

So there's nothing in the above that's really any worse than what Bush and others have in mind (since we're letting in anyone who wants to come anyway, whether it's legal or not), and some stuff that's plenty better.

I think they meant to say here in California. What an absolutely ridiculous idea. Furthermore, I'm sick and tired of John McCain appearing on my TV!
