The assertions of the many cable science documentaries on this have been torn apart by a lot of prominent tsunami experts. I saw a guy on Fox News who said that plates were located too far out in the Atlanic to have an effect on the United States.

"So, since I'm in Upstate NY, near Buffalo, I'll have beach front property?"
Yep, but it'll still be Buffalo, so noone will want to be there anyway ... (/sarcasm )

Can't predict beachfront property. However, I can predict that no matter what happens, you will still get lake effect snow.

I saw a show on this. Really scary stuff. Like CA's big one it is not a matter of if but of when. You stand a far greater chance of being whacked as a result of Leftist governmental policy (gun control, early parole, freeing the insane, excess taxation, etc.).

Canary Islands is a mole hill compared to landslides that occur regularly in the Hawaiian islands. Check this map out below, sized in cubic kilometers.

HHHmmm a "mega-Tsunami" wipes out the East Coast and the West coast falls into the Pacific with a mega earth quake......That just leaves the "red states".... Interesting ;^)

We dont have the tsunami system and warning test-runs like Hawaii, but we do have the buoys and markers out there picking up info, that will give some warning.

you will still get lake effect snow. Most likely though it'll melt on contact since it'll have salt in it.....

You stand a far greater chance of being whacked as a result of Leftist governmental policy Hey I live in CA, you don't have to tell me. Unfortunately out here "leftist" includes a lot of Republicans like our current Govenator.

I think a major tsunami producing earthquake off the north coast of Hispaniola or Puerto Rico is far more likely in our lifetimes. It would surely devastate much of our East Coast:

The flooding is worse than the snow...unfortunately I know this first hand. Stay safe and dry!

We've had several families move in our area from California lately.....Tired of fighting with the liberals...wanted to raise their children in a "normal environment"......and most of them speak English.
