Quite an interesting article (in spite of the solecism which mars its first sentence).
I think a search of the previous post of this article, without the word "Focus:", would be illuminating.
Although I read this article last week, I am sure many truly interested parties missed it.
This is the LatinStudy list, an open list dedicated to the study of
the Latin language. Active subgroups include Caesar's Gallic Wars,
Caesar's Civil Wars, Vergil's Aeneid, Tacitus's Annals, the Vulgate,
Hyginus' Fabulae, Medieval Latin, Wheelock's Latin Reader,
Latin via Ovid, Collin's Ecclesiastical Latin, several levels of Wheelock
grammar study, and Latin Prose Composition.
A volunteer coordinator will typically set a study group's agenda,
possibly collecting and collating assignments which are then posted to
the list for comparison and discussion. Some groups post individual
contributions directly to the list.
Anyone may join or drop a study group at any time. If you are
interested in participating in a particular group, send email to that
group's coordinator for more information. If you wish to start a new
group, initiate the discussion on the list and/or contact one of the
coordinators listed below for assistance.
If you don't want to see all the postings on the list, please use
your email reader's filtering software. Group specific postings will
have a group tag (as indicated below, near the group name) in their
subject line for easy identification. You may also subscribe to the
digest version of the list for easier handling of the list traffic.
Questions should be posted to
latinstudy@vlists.net This activities update is posted weekly, usually on Monday evenings.
Coordinators should send updates to Kirk Lougheed
lougheed@pobox.com.
