What's the difference between this and NPR?

Exactly! I was just thinking that! The debate is going to be great and perhaps this will be the end of both NPR AND PBS! Both of which are liberal propaganda machines, well when you consider all things.

"Oh great, a propaganda channel!"
Nope.
The propaganda channels are CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC and MSNBC.
This Pentagon Channel will be the COUNTER Propaganda Channel
To: areafiftyone
They should have gone with DirecTV, which I have, because Rupert Murdoch of Fox News fame, owns it....
Oh, well, those of you who will get to see it, let us know how it is and what it on it, ok?

This is such good news. And the libs better just shut their traps--we've put up with "Link" and other liberal/gay channels for years. Some of the "public interest" channels, in fact, should be in the "adult" section--once stumbled on a lesbian "talk show" on I think "Link" and I was stunned at how specific they got. Ug.

When the gun is put to your head forcing you to watch, that would be a problem. Though until then....

Besides, with Link, Free Speech TV, PBS, and others on the "public interest" free section, there's plenty of propaganda already--and if that fails, there's the networks. This channel can perhaps balance things out a little.

There was a lot of propaganda during World War II as well, and thank goodness. Propaganda can be a good thing if not hysterically overdone, especially during a time of war.
The big difference back then was that most of the big media was on America's side at the time.

I think they should have military teams play paint ball against liberal teams.

I hope we are able to get it on DirectTV.
DirectTV has a Military channel, but don't believe its from the Pentagon.

the Military channel use to be know as Discovery Times, thats NYTimes, good programming though
To: areafiftyone
We'll see if they report events honestly enough to garner any credibility. Frankly, I'm not too optimistic...
To: boxerblues
Mmmm I not quite sure because the Discovery Times is a separate channel on Direct TV.
Military channel says (MILT) in the upper ledger.
I agreed programming in Discovery Times is good also.
