Anyone who does that (giving a warning to the convoy about to be ambushed) is probably a pretty brave guy. He's definitely not one of the attackers! Thats how I saw it too, This guy was warning our troops of an emminent ambush. God Bless and Protect our Brave Troops!

And they are all "neighbors" from Long Island, where I was born and grew up.
Way to go, guys. I'm proud of you.
God bless our warrior heroes, as they return to civilian life and readjust to their lives here at home.

For a couple of reasons we get letters here about every two weeks from a young lady who is driving one of those trucks in convoys in Iraq.
We worry about her all the time.

Thanks for the ping.
"enemy losses were reported at 48 dead, 22 wounded and 15 detained."
Excellent results in this engagement, even though it was a well-set-up ambush. It takes discipline and courage to do what our troops did.
