"And I guarantee to Mr. Robertson that Muslims will one day become part of the federal bench -- whether or not he likes it."

I can hardly wait. What a victory for "tolerance".
/sarc.

As for "no religious Test", let's just admit that islam is a totalitarian political system spread by violence and the threat of violence. If you think the Founding Fathers thought for a minute that islam was compatible with freedom or democracy, you're deluded.

*shrug* Religious tests were wrong when they were applied to Catholics and Jews, too. If they're willing and able to be a good judge, let them. If they aren't, then don't.

That's funny; as Robertson blamed America, not Islam or the terrorists themselves, for the terrorist attacks, why would he wish to bar Muslims from government?

Of course, Robertson's - and the other bigots' - fantasies are denied by the wisdom of our Founders as found in the First Amendment, and most precisely on point, Article VI, paragraph 3.

What part of this do not you comprehend sir ?

"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any
other faith
but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of
scripture, should be the highest authority in America,
and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

This was the sentiment of Omar M. Ahmad, the
Chairman of the Board of the Council on
American-Islamic Relations or CAIR

but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States. Pat Robertson: Wrong Again!

Islam isn't a religion. It is a terrorist death cult masquerading as a religion. Pat Robertson was right, I direct you to post #9 as you obviously need to clear your head of your misconceptions.

Pat Robertson would have made a good president, and we need that kind of honesty. It might be true that not all Muslims are terrorists, but so far in this War on Terror, all terrorists have turned out to be:

DING! DING!

MUSLIMS!

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations yesterday called on "mainstream political and religious leaders" to repudiate the "hate-filled remarks."

But some how Democratic fillibusters of Christian Judges is Ok?

Yep, and it's also the sentiment of CAIR's spokesman, Ibrahim Hooper. (Sean Hannity got him to admit it publicly a few months ago).

Very well stated. I agree. Heck, for many Communism is a religion. Islam is NOT a religion but at it's core a violent political movement that seeks to totally submit the individual to the collective.

I don't know about all of that, but this line does show who got to Israel first:

"Qur’an 33:26 “Allah made the Jews leave their homes by terrorizing them so that you killed some and made many captive. And He made you inherit their lands, their homes, and their wealth. He gave you a country you had not traversed before."

Someone should show that to the Palestinians when they try to claim Israel as theirs.

Hey DP, signed up with an alias to give yourself a bunch of 'attaboys' when you find yourself without friends?

Nice touch. But you need to sign up maybe a year or more before you actually need to make those stealth posts to support your deluded positions.

"They have said in the Quran there's a war against all the infidels," Robertson said. "Do you want somebody like that sitting as a judge? I wouldn't."

When stated that way, it will be interesting to see how far they want to carry this supposed 'separation of church and state' thing.
