It's a shame you had to voice that. A great shame.

THE BEST Mark Levin "parody phone call" was an interview he conducted with "Joe Lieberman" during the 2004 primary campaign. He asked "Lieberman" what he was going to do to re-invigorate his campaign after a disappointing finish in New Hampshire, and "Lieberman" proceeded to embark on a word-for-word repitition of Howard Dean's rant in Iowa. The reponse was obviously given in Lieberman's slow, pained, whining voice, of course -- and what made it utterly hilarious was the slow, pained, whining "Yeaaahhh" at the end of it.
Levin himself was laughing so hard that he had to turn off his microphone, and he introduced his interview "guest" as fellow WABC radio host Brian Whitman. Whitman is a Democrat, but he is truly one of the most entertaining radio voices out there -- and he can do dead-on imitations of all kinds of public figures, including Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Michael Jackson, Joe Lieberman, Dan Rather, etc.

The problem with Levin is that he's got a sharp mind and a witty sense of humor, but he's a terrible radio personality. His show rarely has much real entertainment value, which is a key to success in the radio business.

Whitman's on-air Michael Jackson impersonations are actually quite startling. He once did a call-in interview with Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby as "Michael Jackson," and he was so good at it that they spent half an hour taking phone calls from people who really thought they were speaking with Michael Jackson.
I don't know if you remember Sean Hannity's "conversion" to the Democratic Party on April Fools Day last year, but Whitman played the part of "Bill Clinton" in Hannity's on-air phone conversation with X-42. Again, he was so good that a bunch of outraged people called Hannity up calling him a low-life traitor for being so friendly to Bill Clinton. LOL.

on a bus to Camden
No bus driver with a brain would agree to take their bus there!
I believe Camden is on the top five depressed cities list.
This had to be a joke and a spoof on Camden.

LOL I know. I wish they repeated his show.
I wish they aired Levin's show in Hannity's slot. :/

I always wondered who the guy was that does those imitations on Hannity. He really IS incredibly convincing.
He sounds JUST like Freakazoid when he says "You're thinking sexual, Shawn! It's not sexual!"

Yeah, that's him! LOL!
One of the keys to a good on-air parody is for the "subject" to sprinkle some utterly ridiculous comments in his dialogue. When he was doing that "interview" on Sliwa's show last year, it was right after Jackson had been arrested -- and after he claimed that the police had dislocated his shoulder while arresting him.
Hhe started that interview right off the bat with a complaint about how long Sliwa had left him waiting on the phone before talking to him . . . "Curtis, how could you do this to me? I've been sitting here on hold for so long that I think I've dislocated my other shoulder!"
If that wasn't a signal that something wasn't quite real about the interview, his manner of saying "I love you!" to ever caller who spoke to him should have been a real clue. LOL!

Gotta disagree with you there. Levin's show makes me crack up every night. I know what you mean about 'terrible radio personality' --but somehow it works.
Reminds me of how someone once said that if you analyzed separately the features of Sophia Loren (eyes, nose, mouth...etc.), they were all wrong for the movies.
But put them altogether, and ZOWIE. That's how Mark's show works for me.
