If the parts were made of clay and she pushed up/down some material, she might have more luck replicating the shift.

Oh, I know there will be surprises.

I just strongly doubt the ones that sound like the first chapter of King Soloman's Mines.

"42.5% of all statistics are made up."

3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the human population...

Yeah, the special effects were considerably downgraded. They made it cheap, not good.

Part of the problem with the movie was that it was supposed to be "Alien vs. Predator"! There shouldn't even have been any humans in it all. No dialog. Just armies of those two monsters going at it. With some kickass human music.

Best thing about global warming is all the liberals houses on the coast will be under water and they will lose their investmant.

Nope, it means that FEMA and insurance companies will reimburse those liberals for their stupidity (at the expense of the taxpayer), and then they'll lobby to raise the property assessments and taxes of all those who were intelligent enough to build above the water line. Then, when the little guy can no longer afford his abode, the liberal fa&&0ts will rebuild their beachhouses anew.

And another thing!

You know what really annoyed me about the plot? First of all, the whole shape-shifting pyramid thing was so pointless and idiotic. But then the guy figures out that the pyramid's calendar is based on units of ten, so he (correctly) surmises that the pyramid will shift every ten minutes.

Why?!?! Minutes are a totally human invention.

Stupid little things bug me.

The part when the Leading Actress and Predator teamed up and ran out of the exploding underground base was one of the funniest things I have seen in a movie for a long time. It was so cliched and cheesy I have to figure that the people making the movie just threw their hands up and said "Oh &^*(&) it, lets just finish this movie and get it over with".

"If I remember correctly, 200 million years ago, the land mass that is now Antartica wasn't near the South Pole, so it's hardly surprising that it wasn't freezing

Antarctica was pretty far south, but not centered at the south pole, at the time:

That, in combination with the overall climate being much warmer at the time(no ice caps at either pole, which is normal for earth history; we currently live in an unusual time) is why there were dinosaurs in Antarctica.

I don't suppose we could re-seperate the Left Coast from the rest of the country again like it shows in that map...

From the USGS. Upper right is 200M years ago, about when one of those dinos lived:

It's not separate, it's still one plate, there's just a very shallow sea that covered the Great Plains because they were lower, and sea level was hundreds of feet higher than today, because there were not any ice caps.

"I have heard rumor that they found a Helen Thomas baby picture."

They could tell it was Helen Thomas because the baby had a suicide note that said it would kill itself if a conservative was elected tribal chieftan.
