What one needs is to have a rigorous, hair-splitting (including the meaning of "is") discussion on structures and definitions, if only to put a stop to con people, victimologists and their kind and ilk. Regrettably, such a discussion would not be happening on FR, for it would be pulled with "no thanks".
"Maybe we should take a page out of the bolshevik (left's) playbook and if accused of racism say "No We're not, We're culturally oriented."
I keep going back to Trent Lott's fiasco. Instead of bending over apologizing and lamenting his ignorance and unworthiness, he should've just responded with something to the effect of: 'What are you, crazy? I'm no racist.' and let it go with that. Heck, today some NBA players are crying 'racism' because management doesn't want them dressing like gangsta thugs while out of uniform and conducting team business. The race card has been a trump card and we must take the sting out of the word. I don't know when I have heard any more classic racism than the pantload spouted last week by Louie Farakan and peeps.True hard core racism is a bad thing, but everything that is not fair is not racism.

On a different discussion site, I have been labeled a racist because I'm a white woman married to a white man and prefer to socialize with the white people I'm accquainted with. Doesn't make any difference to the accuser that I don't have social contact with blacks or hispanics because I don't live around any!
See, you're a racist! You self-segregate away from "those people" because it's in your nature. Whites should not have the right to live wherever, and with whomever, they want. No, that's racism. Freedom of Association? Not for you !!!!
So true, we can't let them get away with it forever.
