Talk about spinning the "explanation" of this population news. I think I need to send an email to Ms. Ebbert explaining that when a state (such as New Hampshire) experiences a population influx, that is not a "loss" of population in the N.E. States.
This exodus shows that mASSachusetts is a state that is so morally backward with all its "we know whats best for you" antics, that people are sick of it.
Live Free or Die, baby...
I hope the big city liberals moving into NH won't turn it into another People's Republic of Vermont.
Bucking a regional trend, more people moved into Wisconsin in recent years than left it
During that period, 13,603 more people moved into Wisconsin than left the state. By comparison, Illinois had a net loss of more than 287,000 people, and Michigan saw a net loss of nearly 114,000. Minnesota, Iowa and Indiana each also saw thousands of more people leave their states than moved in from elsewhere.
It is well on its way to being New Vermont. I have family there.
Wasn't that due to the well-known ease in getting welfare benefits in Wisconsin?
Yup, most of the new cheeseheads are probably from Chicago.
Meanwhile, my gay younger brother and his "partner" can't wait to move to Massachussetts where "we're in the majority."

In the past few days, there have been Freeper posts about a City of Boston gun "buy back" program--an assault on the people's rights to own weapons, and a report of the governor's signing into law the closest thing to socialized medicine since Hillarycare, and just yesterday, there was a report about the refusal of the Lexington, MA's schools to comply with the parents' right to remove their children from classes where homosexual marriage was being touted to second graders as "legal in Massachusetts" and, therefore, "a normal part of the status quo" and thus immune from the sex teachings regulations.
Combine those very recent events with the fact that the highly taxed state's nickname is "Taxachussets" and housing costs in that state are obscenely high and you would have to wonder why the exodus from Massachusetts isn't even greater.
The ship has sailed on that one, Kerry's victory in NH being just one indication of that state's newfound political composition.
The quixotic Free State Project was a good idea, if not quite practical.
Libertarians aren't the groupthink, "joiner" types, like their socialist counterparts.
I don't think anyone's going to be able to salvage the last worthwhile portion of the New England.
What this article doesn't really tell you too much is WHO is leaving, especially in New York: blue collar whites, Nuyoricans (going to Orlando and Pennsylvania), and middle class blacks (going to Atlanta).
Kerry, Kennedy, Hillary, Schmuckie ... more than coincidence? I think not...
Also on the bright side, both MA and NY will lose congressional seats in 2010. YEE-HAH!
The Massholes just will have to raise taxes in order to overcome the revenue shortfall. That'll teach those ungrateful SOBs that left the state!
MY inlaws are leaving Mass for NH because of cost of living and taxes. But most are rats. A few of the more conservative ones are think of moving south.
This beast reportedly ate everything. Departing residents cited hunger as their main reason for leaving. A second reason for many was the loud farting and foul odors coming from a certain Hyannis Port residence.
It's another means of distracting the public from their own malfeasance and incompetence.
I disagree on the Kerry "victory" even though poor NH is being overrun by Massholes.
NH has same day voter registration, thousands upon thousands of college students from Boston and environs went up there on election day and committed voter fraud.
Kerry's victory was fairly marginal as I recall.
