Meant to post this last one. It shows the damage to the lower floors of #7.
"this did NOT MELT STEEL"
These people don't understand terms such as safety factors, shear and crush from an engineering perspective. They will believe the .05% of the whackjobs before they take the time to understand structure and material properties, and no amount of eason or fact will change their view. They are hopeless.
Good point!!!
Excellent point!
These folks need to be locked up. Jail or mental homes, I don't much care.
I'm being flippant, but only slightly.
Afghanistan has always been the key to world domination because it has...uh...it's...uh...

Click "Who We Are" and judge for yourself...
The people who say that are merely expressing their wish that the building fall like dominoes, and increase the body count. Liberals revel in death, and most of their policies directly increase the number of dead and dying in the world.
In other words, they have at least one thing in common with the terrorists---primitive brains that can't understand why the towers didn't fall over like trees, like they expected.
I would suggest we all contact the universities that these idiots teach at as well. These guys should be fired (I don't give a rip about tenure). These idiots are teaching our children and this nonsense has got to stop.
Democrats all I'm sure.
It's the other way, really. Starting in the 60s and 70s, thousands of kids from Muslim countries came here to go to college. Here, they were required to take US history and government. These classes were taught by pinko professors who lectured these students about how evil the empire of America was. The kids went back, rose in the ranks and now are leaders. Though Islam teaches them to hate infidels, their American professors taught them to hate Americans specifically.
I believe NFPA (Nation Fire Prevention Association) is what you meant. They are a private organization, an arm of Underwriters Laboratory (UL). NIST is the new name for the National Bureau of Standards.
NIST commands and can mobilize enormous technical resources. I'll betcha dollars to donuts that 90% of the Ph.D.'s at NIST vote Democratic frevently, but they are institutionally apolicital (as opposed to State, CIA or Defense) so based on reputation for intellectual honesty and technical competence and mechanicism for internal review, I'd take NIST over most anybody.
Now, there's an oxymoron...
Irrefutable Scientific Evidence that 911 was an Inside Job!!!!!
Guess they missed the Al Jezeera production yesterday showing Bin Laden with the 9/11 terrorists before the attack. Any professor who still harbors this delusional idea should be fired. He/She has nothing to teach America's youth.
The main towers were big ... I mean BIG... they were the largest things I've ever seen, in a city filled with enormous things. They made supertankers look like tugboats.... a cruise ship was a dingy in comparison. Even the Sears tower in Chicago seems smaller because it lacks the girth that these buildings shared. It would take you half an hour or more to walk around their circumference and that's at a manic New York City pace.
Number 7 was across the street, but if you stood in the narrow street between number 7 and the north tower and looked up, it was like being at the bottom of a very deep well. It's simply inconceivable that the tower could fall and NOT take a substantial piece of number 7 with it. and there were buildings 2 blocks away which were damaged by debris (although not seriously enough to require their demolition)
These people are all loons.
No, I meant NIST, tha National Institute of Standards. Among many other things on their enormous campus, they do research into the nature and behavior of fire, as a branch of physics.
They sure are putting this crap in the heads of our kids..
It's a damned shame.
Forty professors and lecturers from Tehran University in Iran are being retired on Thursday. The move is causing concern that the new government of President Ahmadinejad is purging professors. Last year, there were protests after he appointed an ayatollah as chancellor of the university - the first time a cleric had been put in charge.
