And it was Carter’s National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski, who oversaw this disastrous foreign policy. I remember a show, 7-8 years back with Zbig crowing that they'd suckered the Sov's into invading Afghanistan. He was actually chortling about it.
Well, Afghanistan bred the Mujahadeen and the Muj bred Osama and history bred the rest.

We're still cleaning up their mess 25 years later. We'll be cleaning up BJ's mess longer than that even.

Did he really pay them??
