What do you do when you're not working? (Work is a great place to meet people, but if the relationship goes south you still gotta work with the guy, and that's almost never fun.)
This just isn't true (not in the way you mean it). I don't blame you for thinking that way, because women are incapabale of "compartmentalizing" sex and romance, so they have no point of reference to how a man might be attracted to a girl in one way, and attracted to a completely opposite type girl in another way.
One thing I might add is that men aren't neccessarily attracted to "skanks" physically, but SOME men are attracted to the easy access / no commitment fantasy. That does not equate to attraction to the girl herself, just her easy-open lid :) . But men don't marry girls like that.
They've all gone to the clubs and bars to get drunk and act scandalously.
Pray for her conversion.
Ding, ding, ding...I think we have a winner here. My thoughts exactly. Ms. Church did not get to where she is today on her own. She has 'people.' No doubt an agent, a media savvy type, a lawyer (or three), an accounting firm, a personal assistant (someone has to go for lattes) and a stylist. Plus whatever other 'hangers on' there might be.
Unfortunately, any publicity is good publicity (think Paris Hilton). Talent alone doesn't cut it...attention MUST be drawn to the 'artist.' So, Charlotte Church attacks 'the Church;' and a pregnant Britney Spears appears nude on Vamity Fair; and Janet Jackson can't stage a come back without talking constantly about her sex life...yawn. Its predictable. Would Ms. Malkin (or any journalist) even consider writing about CC if it were to be on critical success alone? The answer is no. Any publicity, especially free publicity, is good publicity.
I'd say church too but all the girls in my church are either married or have bf's.
I don't agree. I am quite ladylike, but still nuts, and my boyfriend would never date someone like what you described. There are quality men out there, but they ARE hard to find.
Bravo.
James - I don't know if this might be a possibility for you or not. I've been showing horses for 25 years now and can tell you that there are scads of single women to be found at horse shows. Our prospects of finding men at these events are rather limited as (depending on the discipline and breed)a large majority of the males there are only interested in males.
Women who pursue this type of hobby are generally healthy, financially stable, hard working and kind. You're in KY, but not sure if this type of activity appeals to you or is in your area. Riding lessons might widen your social circle where the odds would be in your favor. And it can be really fun and relaxing. Just a thought.
Those were wise words. Yes, you are correct. When we heard this girls "history" we prejudged her and so did everyone else we knew. That is, TILL WE MET HER..
God really taught us a lesson..for the good. We all fall short..
Take care, sw
Very true, sorry about your loss, you will have friends here. Hope you continue your political "education" with a wary eye to both political parties, be independant, think for yourself.
I am an RN in a pediatric hospital and don't think dating someone at work is a good idea. When I'm not working, I'm in college classes or hanging out with my kids. When I'm home alone, I want to go out, but have no one to go out with. :(
I have a few hundred here :)
I have my old Barbies from the 60s - while the figure shape is unrealistic, the clothes etc were very classy. My dd played with those for a bit, but she much preferred the horses. That was a shame, it turns out, because the plastic version led to the much more expensive flesh-and-blood version :)
Incorrect ... In fact, Mrs. Malkin wrote a column two or three years ago, addressing celebrity skankdom and noting at great length Miss Church's then talent-driven contrast to the numerous skanks.
What about the people you meet in class? (If it's a single-sex class, disregard and we'll move to the next question.)
Ooooh, goodness . . . horses are expensive and fragile and time-consuming!
That said, there is nothing more calculated to appeal to every teenage girl on the face of the earth than a horse.
Two are my daughters. And if you have a couple MB of space on your hard drive, I'll send you the application form to meet them.
You might get it past me, but you will have to really work to get it past them.
Shalom.
Well....she can come over to my place with a box of crackers
My youngest actually thought she might like to try for a spot on America's Top Model. Nobody in our family had ever watched the show so she watched an episode with her mother. In this particular episode they were doing a nude photo shoot. One of the contestants didn't want to do the shoot. They pressured her into posing but kicked her off the show as "uncooperative." My daughter didn't finish the show and is no longer interested in ever being a model.
Shalom.
