Nope. I just quoted you in your own words against you. You said they were poor and destitute and helpless, and you said Borat took advantage of all that. When somebody called you out and said even poor people are responsible for their own actions you said - and I quote you yet again - "Your attitude that they are responsible for their own choices is just a cover." You quote me accurately, but interpret them dishonestly. When I say poor villagers were misled. My defence of them is they were misled, not that they were poor. I never said excuse them because they were poor. Never. It isn't there, pal. There never was a poverty defence. That was Created by you because you chose not to react properly to what I said. Their right to be properly informed is equal but not greater than anyone elses. Now, your last 4 or five posts have included gratuitous insults to me, including calling me an ass. That is fine. I don't care, I am not hurt by it but when I insult you back, and far better than your weak offerings. It isn't really fair for you to start calling me venomous and bileful or whatever Chatsworth jargon you use. Now, I am going to walk you through every quote you used.

I accused the person I was talking to of being insensitive to their poverty. That is not a defence of the villagers, it is an accusation of callousness directed to someone else..........

we? I, once again, accuse this guy of laughing and enjoying their misery...the first sentence. It is not a defence of the villagers it is an accusation of cold heartedness directed to whoever.....second sentence and here is the pay-off Chatsworth, "they liked Borat and the crew and thought he was their friend, THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING".
That is an observataion of their state of mind and indeed it refers to my (and their)opinion that they were misled. THAT is my defence of the villagers, their state of mind. NOT their poverty. But lets go on.

This is another accusation of indifference. Specifically, I didn't believe this guy gave them a whit of consideration. He like you, brushed their idea of being decieved away...way too glibly in my view, but in any case this is a clear accusation of indifference directed at an individual and in no way a defence of the villagers. This is directed at Borat and is my opinion of what he did to them. I saw the movie and indeed he did that. I laughed like crazy though. The villagers claim they were not in on the joke. That makes it another matter, and so far the only defence of the villagers I have offered is the state of mind comment already mentioned.

I like this quote, First off I accuse someone of dressing up indifference in a fancy suit, so to speak. Not a poverty defence. I also call Borat a liar here. That is my opinion of him. Not a poverty defence. My opinion of the village is an observation and not a defence of anything. No defence of the villagers, so far. Now "he acted like their friend and made asses of them" That is a state of mind accusation against Borat, and of course, that he made asses of them, was quite clear. That part is on film.
So, there is no poverty defense. There are two comments regarding state of mind that go to the heart of the matter, claimed deception, and that is that. You labeled that as a poverty defence and as several other Poverties, at different times. When we examine the quotes, it isn't there, pal. Now, in my opinion you falsely labeled my comments as a poverty defence, while knowing full well they were not. I do not think you so thick that you could mistakenly interpret what I said in such a contrary way. Therefore I called you a liar. We can all claim not too understand things when it suits us, and we can stubbornly stick to our stories. But I feel you owe me an apology. We've spent a week, because it took you that long to FINALLY revisit your own quotes. I told you they were wrong right away, but you didn't want to go there, that is where you started being vile and venomous and accusing me of same. No, I was right the first time, your exaggerated vocabulary, your quickness in correcting peoples spelling, and grammar is a clear sign of intellectual insecurity. Any review of our posts will reveal that you call plenty of names your self, and indeed have no grounds whatsoever to try and make the case that I alone am the insulter. I am much better at it, I admit. Your prefered end-game to a debate, If I may so say, seems to be a spelling and grammar correction, delivered with a flourish and a twisting of your moustache! Lastly, Your wise man quote, should be placed somewhere else, it is embarrasingly placed where it makes no sense. Great quote, though. Matthew?

Lets see the college students who claim they were misled, go to South Carolina, so their defence would be the white college kids, in a trailer defence, the white lady civics teacher who claim she was misled, we'll call her claim the white lady claim, or the Joe defence, since that is her husbands name, or the middle class white lady defence.....then we can attempt to invoke whatever prejudices may exist against those various words and avoid actually examining wether or not they were ACTUALLY misled.....yeah....thats the ticket....
