OTTAWA - Canadian navy ship H-M-C-S Toronto is conducting a search-and-rescue operation to find nine people believed at sea after a volcanic eruption on Jazirt Atta-Ir island, about 140 kilometres off the coast of Yemen in the Red Sea.
The navy said in a news release from Ottawa that at the time of the eruption, the NATO fleet was sailing north toward the Suez Canal.
Navy spokesman Ken Allen, aboard H-M-C-S Toronto, says the government of Yemen formally asked NATO to assist in the search for survivors.

Yemen isn’t an island.....do they have the name wrong?
A volcano on a tiny island off the coast of Yemen, spewing lava and ash hundreds of feet into the air, setting the entire island aglow with lava and magma as it pours down into the sea!
I'm sure AlGore and his minions will insist this too is the result of Global Warming... or Cooling....
The eruption began when the volcano exploded Sunday evening on Jabal al-Tair, an oval island about 2 miles across that is unpopulated except for a small Yemeni military base used for naval control of nearby shipping lanes.

We can find some ways to escape, or in extreme cases survive natural disasters. We CAN’T find ways out of supernatural (NOT ALIEN) things that might occur, meaning some kind of time rip, a black hole, or a hole opening up on the surface of the Earth and everything falling in.
