Your Turkey protest photos, are not much different from those we might take at many protests in the U.S.
The people look the same....to me.
In Turkey it’s a clash of ideas, the old, Islamic and anti-Western and a far more modern view point which does not wish to be enslaved by radical Islamists.
Yes, I can understand wanting to be free of the rigid Islamic ways.
It always surprises me that the people of the world all look the same.
It was not until after 9-11, that I had a good look at the photos of the Afghanistan natives........LOL, it was as tho I was looking at my family photo’s.
We are Cherokee and Scots.
The world is so small.
Hate blinds. It time to question their patriotism. Beyond reprehensible, just disgusting.
Raise taxes, fund socialism and gun control. What's difficult to understand about Democraps.
Mix of RINOs and Demotraitors. H.RES.106 starts as follows:
Mr. SCHIFF (for himself, Mr. RADANOVICH, Mr. PALLONE, Mr. KNOLLENBERG, Mr. SHERMAN, and Mr. MCCOTTER) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs...
Mr. SCHIFF (D-CA)
Mr. RADANOVICH (R-CA)
Mr. PALLONE (D-NJ)
Mr. KNOLLENBERG (R-MI)
Mr. SHERMAN (D-CA)
Mr. MCCOTTER (R-MI)
Yes, the resolution’s sponsors were split partywise, but I wonder what the actual committee vote looked like. My guess is more Dems than Pubs voted ‘yes’, but maybe not. The senators that sit on the Foreign Affairs committee are probably the kind that’d have a hard time voting against a resolution like this, even the Republicans. They’re an image-conscious bunch and the chance to be seen condemning a genocide would probably be hard to resist. Anyway, I guess the true test will be the full House vote, which is coming up soon.
nope...do the math. 6 RINOs voted with 21 Dhims to pass it out of committee, 27-21. A close vote due to ignorance.
I believe I made it clear that I was talking about the COSPONSORS OF THE RESOLUTION ITSELF. Republicans such as Tancredo, Wolf, and on and on.
Of course, after the heat, many in both parties are jumping off now and the resolution will again be killed, as it has been every year for many years.
The only ignorance is on the part of the people who believe the baloney excuses and/or scare tactics from the present administration and all the past administrations for killing a resolution which does nothing more than simply acknowledge a genocide against Armenian Christians.
The DemocRats don't give a tinkers' damn about the Christians....Armenian or otherwise. All they care about re: pushing this resolution passage is to sabotage America's war in Iraq and to further hamstring our military. That's all they've EVER cared about. Defeating America. And it kinda looks to me like you approve of their agenda.
Funny how so many so-called "Independents" seem to parrot the same talking points of the DemocRat left, eh?
First of all, the reason I became an independent was because the Republican Party has turned to the left when it comes to border control, spending, etc.
I could care less about the motives of Democrats who support the resolution. I also could care less about politics or fear of “offending” the Turkish government.
I support the resolution because finally acknowledging those who were murdered for no reason other than they were the infidel is the right thing to do, period.
Yes, I realize that Bush, not the Republican Party per se, has turned left on border control issues, and has caved in to the Dems over other spending. But then, the Democrat Party has always been for open borders and more and more illegals because they assume those illegals will vote DemocRat. Funny how nobody was pushing Clinton to close the borders during those eight long years, even after the first WTC bombing. But alluva sudden, it’s Bush’s fault that the border isn’t closed yet.
As for the resolution....you and I both know that...at the present time... there IS no hope for a third party winning an election. Soooo...essentially, you’ve chosen to throw away your vote by voting Independent, which will in essence, aid the Democrats and ergo, hurt the Republicans by voting for a third party. We both know that to be a fact, even though I’m betting that you won’t admit it.
Supporting the resolution at this time is ill-conceived, and unlike you, I DO CARE about the motives of the Dems. I will always care and question the motives of the socialist DemocRats. Their timing and motives are, per usual, intended ONLY to do damage to our war efforts in Iraq and to harm our military, ultimately. And yet, you agree with this?
