Actually, the NSA came up with it originally, and it got handed off to other agencies, until it was going to be closed down and dismantled ... Byrd just saw it as yet another opportunity to have his name on yet another thing.

I propose we name the gas cloud after AlGore.

Think about it.

It's a big bag of hot air. It has no discernible intelligence. It stinks to high heaven. It causes global warming. It takes up space. It serves no useful purpose.

It's a natural!

Well, the SR-71 Blackbird flew at a mere 2300 miles per hour and gets so hot that ordinary fuel boils. A cloud of gas going 540,000 miles per hour might warm things up a bit.

Wouldn't it be funny if a cloud named Smith destroyed the universe? Surely they could come up with an exotic name with at least a Z and an X in it.
