Oh look ... the cycle is starting to flip back to global cooling ... like it was in the 1930’s and the 1970’s. How marvelous.
Yep. When the ocean currents are able to run along the equator the Earth is a lot warmer.
“Al Gore is the Chairman and majority stock holder in the largest “carbon credit” selling company in the world Generation Investment Management.”
WTF!!! This was all about bilking money to line his pockets.
You may be on to something here....... LMAO
If we get to voe for our choice, I’ll take the warming. We need to crank up CO2 production to keep pace with this ocean current stuff.
Very astute point. Many Solar Scientists are worried about the current and possible future inactivity of the Sun’s sunspots. Most agree that the next Solar Cycle will be a low one, with some saying future activity could be as low as the Dalton or Maunder Minimum. (Both occurring during the Little Ice Age, especially the Maunder Minimum). I hope they are DEAD WRONG because this would be much worse than the Gorbal Warming junk tat we have been spoon fed for years.
(:^o)
I do too! Unfortunately it looks like I'm stuck in having to pursue it by moving south........
“Stop Global Warming, BAN hot air gushing politicians”?
If hilary, obama, and McManiac would stop exhaling everything would be OK. I can almost guarantee it. Wanna buy some carbon credits? Haven’t got the forms made up yet but I’m working on it. Ain’t this fun?
How very George Carlin of you!
:-)
When you're retired time becomes irrelevant. I now find myself checking the calendar to find out what day it is. Fortunately I cross off the days each night before I go to bed because if I don't then I'm likely to think today is actually Monday.....
Global cooling will help the oil companies! /sarc
and improve sales of snow plows to Latin America!
Someone should explain to this individual that the "solar effect" is what actually heats the water on the planet. Ultimately the sun is THE driver for global weather not the water. At the moment the sun is very quiet, hence the unusually cold weather around the globe as of late.
This will stop nothing. Not the mercury laden light bulb fiasco, nor all the government intrusion, carbon taxes, food for fuel nightmare and all the rest of that crappola.
Of our 3 choices for President, all are gung ho on destroying the economy to “fight global warming”.
Bend over folks, you are about to have mercury light bulbs shoved up your rear end.
GeorgiaDawg — I am sitting here, having stayed home from work due to the weather predictions, watching snow fall. It has been snowing like h3ll for the past 5 hours and I betcha I have at least 10-12 inches of snow on the ground. Uh huh . . .GLOBAL WARMING!!
Figure 5
Where are the human beings and industry: 120,000 years ago? ...250,000 years ago? ...310,000 years ago? ...and... 400,000+ years ago? that caused identical global warming???
Answer: There weren't any!!!
What do think the temperature declines represent???
Answer: Ice ages!!!
What do think comes next on the right hand end???
Answer: Another Ice Age!!!
.
Figure 1
Are ice ages a big deal?
Answer: Yes
Are they repeatable like clock work?
Damn Right!
.
For the above graph source (Figure 5) and an even more interesting larger version of the chart showing historical ice ages and ocean impacts (Figure 1), see http://icecap.us/images/uploads/McClenneyPart_I.pdf.
The other parts are:
http://icecap.us/images/uploads/McClenneyPart_II.pdf
http://icecap.us/images/uploads/McClenneyPart_III.pdf
http://icecap.us/images/uploads/McClenneyPart_IV.pdf
http://icecap.us/images/uploads/McClenneyPart_V.pdf
and the main source is the middle column of http://icecap.us/
(Parts I and II are tough going to understand but well worth the effort; I have some questions regarding Part III; and Parts IV and V are somewhat off the deep end. However, the latter do not impact the value and accuracy of Part I and Part II, and your reading and understanding of the first two parts is heartily recommended!

One more thing.....
What would be the impact of another ice age on Florida for example?
