Would you be allowed to say the same thing about any “typical white guy” that votes for McLame based on his skin color. Racism is racism. Period.

In our current historical context, a black man -while not agreeing with Obama - could vote for him and think: "This will show my children and my grandchildren that there is nothing that they cannot accomplish in America."

I don't see that attitude as racist. Ethnic pride is not racism.

On the other hand, in our current historical context, a white man who decides to vote for McCain because he is white - even if he dislikes McCain and his policies and would have vastly preferred Edwards - is not doing so in the hope that his children and grandchildren will take inspiration from the example of America's 44th white president.

He will be doing so because he is thinking: "I may not like McCain, but I'll be damned if we let a n***** become President."

Just remember, he is the one, he is the uniter. Doesn’t matter what he really thinks or what he acts like, only his rhetoric today.

Something that black conservatives should ponder is that a David Dinkins presidency would harm black national political prospects far more than it would help. Everything Obama does will be reflected back on black people, fair or not, and not just the good but also the bad.

Maybe today’s intellectually lazy people. Not the historical, “earn it,” folks. No matter how you try to spini it, they are making a judegement based on skin color. That is pure, unaldurated racism and prejudisim. Period. There is no way to spin it. It is to late to change the meaning of words.
