I agree to an extent but I think it would be more about Loyality to another black over honesty. Obama is an empty suit and no one can prove different.

It ain't possible.
Agreed. how could someone vote “based on color” when the Republican party was specially made to address the inequality of color at all?
I think you mean indifference or equality of color.
Ah forget it my previous post. I misunderstood your sentence. You are right of course.
Anyone calling themselves a Republican, much more a conservative, and also stating they will vote for Obama is a LIAR!
Add to that ‘because of his color’ and your statement is 100% spot on.
IF you say you are Conservative & are voting
for Obama you are NOT a conservative. Colour’s
got nothing to do with it.

We have already seen the subtle aspect of the race factor in the latest Ohio and other polls re the so-called swing states, so critical in the electoral college mathematics.
Ohio - as an example - now, surprisingly, favors McCain by a substantial margin, according to the latest Ras poll I examined. With the Taft debacle clear in the minds of most Buckeyes — and the gross failure of that GOP Governorship, the only factor that can account for the current statistics is that Ohioans are NOT ready for a black president.
It is my view that later in the electoral season, we will see a subtle shift away from Obama, into the McCain camp — not for any reason other than that McCain is NOT Obama — and he is not black, either.
The racial aspect of this election is THE issue NOT discussed openly in polite conversation; however, in the sanctity of the shrouded voting booth, it will be very much a factor. And, I will go to the mat on this analysis. analysis.
Kindest regards, fellow Freepers — and Flame Away. *S*
I’m about sick of these people. Let them go vote for a marxist, but let’s tell them not to let the door him them in the ash on the way out.
Armstrong Williams is voting for McCain and has made very clear statements that he opposes Obama’s Marxist policies.
But the talking point is there in the MSM to try to urge all good black Americans to vote for Obama even if they are conservatives. Black conservatives are rumored to be supporting Obama even when they aren’t.
The media is lying here. Same as when they talked of Republicans for Gore’s recount.
Here is a DNC delegate (a Hillary supporter) who has endorsed McCain. Does she get interviewed about what she sees in McCain?
No, she gets interrogated as to why she won’t back Obama.
Democrat supporting McCain expected to be stripped of her delegate status

These people are going to have make up their minds to either be 'black' or Republican. I guess MLK was just flapping his gums when he talked about judging someone by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
If J.C. Watts votes for Obama, then everything he ever said or did under the guise of Republican or Conservative is nothing more than a lie.
And this appeared in the same paper as this piece BY Armstrong Williams.
WILLIAMS: Obamacans - Doing what's right for all the wrong reasons(Monday, July 7, 2008)
The recent trend among some Republican political types - to pander to Democratic backlash against criticisms of Barack Obama - has been cast by some media pundits as a shrewd way of capitalizing on the runaway popularity currently enjoyed by the Illinois senator. Perhaps most notably exemplified by Oregon Republican Sen. Gordon Smith - whose re-election campaign just weeks ago ran an ad hailing Mr. Smith's collaboration with Mr. Obama on environmental legislation - this strategy is a textbook case of doing right for all the wrong reasons. And ultimately it won't work.[snip]
...handing Mr. Obama the tactical high ground in the general election merely to score points in state and local contests might put the Republicans at a long-term disadvantage - even if they manage to win those races. The reason is simply that attempting to ride Mr. Obama's coattails to victory gives Republicans a poor vantage point to criticize the Obama camp in the unlikely event that he actually takes the White House in November. An Obama administration, if the Rev. Wright episode and other missteps are any indication, is sure to be filled with its share of foibles, follies and just plain wrongheaded policies. What happened to the good old days, last seen at the end of the Clinton administration, when party politicians would rather fall on their swords if necessary to bring about a sea change in politics rather than pander to the opposition because they fear they'll lose their own seats (to another member of the same party)?
[snip]
Moreover, as much as Mr. Obama is a likeable candidate - and I will readily admit that he is - we must not get so starry-eyed over his image that we lose sight of the policies he represents. This is the guy who promised unconditional dialogue with a hostile dictatorship in Iran. He would impose government-funded health care on an already broken federal medical regime. Obamacans, as they are now known, risk losing the farm merely for a night out on the town with the captain of the football team. Is it really worth it?
[snip]
The Republican Party must not try to don the colors of the Democrats to try and fool the electorate into voting its way. It must present unique, distinguishable solutions to the challenges facing Americans.
While, the Republican Party must adapt to change, it has to stick to principle.
Cults attract all kinds.
Pssst. The media is in the bag for Obama and they want the sheep there too.
Black Republicans Conflicted On Obama?
not this one.
