That’s the final straw, now I’m switching my vote to McKinney.
Horror, she caused some business to make money so they could pay wages for their employees to feed their families.
I suppose the esteemed members of the press, and most on this thread have missed the idea that in ALASKA a tanning bed is more than a luxury - it’s a source of pseudo-sunlight during the dark months.
Lack of sunlight has been tied to many ailments in the Arctic regions.
(chortle)
This is getting to be a joke. LOL
The American people see through this sh*t.
I’m a melanoma survivor. I have also occasionally suffered from SAD, seasonal affect disorder which is basically depression caused by long nights, short days. I grew up in Texas and have lived mostly in Kansas as an adult. I cannot imagine living any further north than this. The years that I didn’t work in an office with floresant lights, I would go into depression in the winter. I now recognize this and watch for it and make sure I’m outside in the sunlight in the winter and use bright lights. If I lived in Alaska, I would probably use tanning beds and those special lights you can buy. Oh, and I don’t use 30 spf because the damage which caused the tumor happened in the 50s.
A team of investigative lawyers, journalists, etc. and all they can come up with is a TANNING BED?
Yup, she’s at least a year ahead of the curve that now recommends sunshine as the best way to get sufficient Vitamin D — perhaps she should back-bill Alaska for the cost of preventive treatments?
Vit. D... (health reasons)
It is DARK up there 3 months a year, but in LA, the blond goes all the way into the brain case.
And what? Five months of darkness...........Alaska has it’s own hardships. I didn’t realize paying for your own tanning bed was a problem? So do we get to hear about the one Lindsay Lohan has?
That took all of 60 seconds to disprove....
Another for the debunked list...
In other news, President Ford had the audacity to build a swimming pool in the White House...with taxpayer money...and it is a fact that many people drown in water.
I live in Minnesota. It gets real cold and real dry here, in the winter.
Several years ago, I developed dry, itchy.........etc.....skin.
A couple of MD friends told me to tan for 10 minutes, a couple of times a week. Low power beds.
Problem solved.
How cold and dry does it get in Alaska???
If one can afford a bed to get one through the winter....
It’s not like she went to a Pentacostal church, fer cryin’ out loud....
;-)
“The article even admits she used her own money. “
But the LATimes knows most of their audience never reads past the headline. Too short of an attention span.
Everybody I knew went to fake and bakes before taking their annual ‘cabin fever’ trip to Hawaii or wherever else they wanted to go in winter.
I didn't though, I just slathered on the SPF whatever and stayed pasty!
Oh, the horror! There goes the nagging dermatologists’ vote.
