America doesn’t need to be ‘fixed’, it just needs a wake up call.

Bill Clinton was a wakeup call. The nation rolled over and went back to sleep. At the risk of a possible banishment here is the problem and solution. It was written eight years ago but is more true today than ever. This is what it will take.

I'm blaming W for his “new tone”.

He didn't use the bully pulpit to address all the lies, distortions and conspiracy theories the MSM/Libtrads manufactured for our demise.

I blame Bush for a lot of this. He has been an extraordinarily weak President; at least for his second term. He has essentially been "Missing in Action" his entire second term and has allowed the liberals to completely set the tone of all political debates. There was no bully pulpit, no leadership, no focus, no direction.

I place quite a bit of blame on the GOP establishment. The GOP has been losing ground for 10 years, ever since Gingrich resigned. Their lack of aggressive leadership left a vacuum and the liberals have been on the march for years.

Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

You're very funny.

“A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued: but when they lose their virtue they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader”. Samuel Adams (American Vision)

With the weapons there are today, just wait for the Soviets, China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, North Korea and the terrorists who continue to be their proxy make their moves. This ‘paranoia’ will not be such a laughing matter anymore. And this country is officially Demonrat, one party rule and there will be nothing but mock ‘election’s from now on with the crackdown on dissent, etc. You people can not look at the seriousness of this now, but it will be enough with just 4 yrs. to make this a fatal election.

Let’s just see what happens to Israel and what transpires in the world and I think you will have to come to a different conclusion.

At least I can say I tried and voted for McCain(really Palin) and tried to prevent this devastation, even if I knew this state(NY) is so hopelessly lost and a disaster. I know I will not have the blood of America on my hands. I want a camera in Colin Powell’s face and want to see him answer for the mess that is going to happen under Obama. All of those b****rds need to OWN him and their contribution as aiding and abetting this thug.

How can 2/3 of Americans be so damn blind and stupid.

Easy, because they don't think like you and I do.

Look, I'll be honest and frank with you, what the "2/3" are rejecting are the policies of GW Bush and his decision to invade Iraq...keep this in mind (in the backdrop) of all the problems ...subsequent to the invasion in 2003...and the recent "financial crisis" that the US is going through.

And, perhaps, secondarily, this is a historical moment of an African American being elected as POTUS.

God gives us what we need, not what we want. At this time, he thinks we need a good swift kick in the a$$.

Shaddup. If you think God has a political preference, you’re insane.

I’m not blaming God,WE are to blame!!!!

No, WE are not. The people who were either mislead or wanted socialism are to blame. God had nothing to do with it, he gives us free will to make our own choices and this is what the majority of the people in this country wanted.

I do agree that we will now pay for our sins, but it's the sin that the people voted this disaster upon us.

I did my part, I voted against socialism, I do not take blame.

Thats a generational thing.

Surprisingly so, in this day and age of endless movie re-runs on cable.

Ah well, those of us old enough can just look back and remember Apocalypse 1992, just to compare and contrast that with what this latest and greatest end-of-everything-we-know-and-love looks and feels like. Hmmm, I suppose that's a generational thing too.
