That's a Ferrari. The Lambro sounds like heavy bass like a Beethoven missile going by. You will know it when you see it. They are $$ and built in small numbers. Why did you rent a car like a little Opel? Ford builds cars there that can go 150 km/h that they can't sell here because in 4th gear you go very fast.
I assume you have an international drivers license. The rules there are the left lane is open. The right lane is for slow vehicles. A drivers licence in Germany costs $700. Stay with the Intl drivers licence and get a faster car next time.
Why don't you and your wife do something different when you go back and have the time? Like take First Classe sleeper trains and ferries (BIG SHIPS) from Scotland to the Costa del Sol in Spain. Take a month to do it. All those people from the Isle of Skye to Benidorm (Alicante), Spain and in between are nice people that want to meet you. And the best Spanish Paella and lobster tails and shrimp you can pig out on is right there.
Just be with the people where you go. I have learned all cities are the same. People are alike. If you and you're wife are adventurous, take the train from Port Noir into Switzerland. Go to Geneve to see the water spout. And just see what a hotel room costs!
Lead in wine,Nero,gays in army.

There's a hotel there called the Continental that the Rooskies took away from the people that owned it, and its previous owners' family reacquired it after the Soviet Union collapsed. It was still a work in progress, but a pleasant base from which to schedule our expeditions, which of course included Prague.
But you're right, we want to take a cruise ship next trip. We were in Paris the year before and stayed at a little place on the Left Bank called Diehle's Hotel. Mrs Marauder had attended college at the Ecole des Beauxarts in Fontainebleu, and knew her way around Paris, so we had a neat trip that time.
I thought the theory that global cooling played a part in ushering in the dark ages in Europe was quite common.
And, the same as in modern day Europe.
The romans stopped to reproduce.
In many cases, the german tribes did not have to conquer anything.
They just waltzed into empty villages.
The future belongs to those who show up.
Looks like nobody has mentioned ‘Justinian’s Plague, the Black Death of the 6th century, devastatimg the Middle East and the Mediterraenean basic.
