How many failed predictions, discredited assumptions and evidence of incorrect data are required before an idea loses credibility? CO2 is not causing warming or climate change. It is not a toxic substance or a pollutant. Despite this President Elect Obama met with Al Gore on December 9 no doubt to plan a climate change strategy based on these problems. They make any plan to reduce of CO2 completely unnecessary. 75% of the Earth"s surface is ocean, and of that, man only inhabits about 10% of the land surface. Cities make up less than 1/10th of 1% of the surface of the planet. |

In a paper submitted to the Hearing before the US Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation Professor Zbigniew Jaworowski explains; "The basis of most of the IPCC conclusions on anthropogenic causes and on projections of climatic change is the assumption of low level of CO2 in the pre-industrial atmosphere. This assumption, based on glaciological studies, is false." Climate Change: Incorrect information on pre-industrial CO2 Jaworowski is a global warming skeptic. His works on ice cores were published in Jaworowski (1994, 1992) and in reports Jaworowski (1990, 1992). Jaworowski has suggested that the long-term CO2 record is an artifact caused by the structural changes of the ice with depth and by postcoring processes. However, increases in CO2 and CH4 concentrations in the Vostok core are similar for the last two glacial-interglacial transitions, even though only the most recent transition is located in the brittle zone. Such evidence argues that the atmospheric trace-gas signal is not strongly affected by the presence of the brittle zone. Raynaud, D., J. Jouzel, J. M. Barnola, J. Chappellaz, R. J. Delmas, C. the atmosphere sprang a leak? =o)
Both of the big Hammarlunds (HQ 170A RX & HX 50 TX) have the tubes at 87% or better, and are sitting under their dust covers awaiting the call to action... Actually, I do pull the covers off every so often and warm my hands over them.:-) I love "hollow state" radio! Some folks like to sit by the glow of a warm fire... I love to sit by the glow of all 28 tubes (17 in the RX, 11 in the TX), plus the little #44 lamps in the dials and meters. My other GC receivers have had their tubes checked and are ready also.
I knew something was up with the atmosphere, as we were supposed to be at the bottom of the sun spot cycle months ago (and back on the rebound), and I was still not even able to get any decent skip wave propagation - even on the recent clear, cool nights.
Best DX I've gotten in the past 8 months has been Ireland at about 16:00 UTC, back in July. Best QSO's were during the hurricanes, relaying information. The rest of the time conditions have been flat or I was too busy.
Finally got so disgusted that I would just go to bed and scan the bands with my shortwave receiver and headphones, rather than go to the radio room.
