Thanks for the tip. I’m a bit more inclined to help them now.

I salute your generous impulse. I suggest waiting until we learn the extent of the damage. I bet that assessment has just begun.

The good news that map (at least) isn’t showing any Yellowstone activity. You know I can chuck a spud from my house and hit that Caldera. Well almost :-))

Hi Fred,
Have you been feeling the quakes and tremors since the 26th?
Has it been windy a lot?
Jeffers, Ping. You wanted to know about the wind, and bigheadfred lives there......

My husband and I visited there a couple of times in the early 80’s and have some incredible stories and memories. We still have friends there. I hope they will be all right.
To: bigheadfred
I noticed that. It has slowed greatly.
What caught my eye was the rolling harmonics that came in after the Indonesia hit.

I did not realize ‘interesting’ was a Chinese term. In Minnesota, the word is used to describe anything weird or strange in politese. Yes. That is Minnesotan, as well.

Dual large earthquakes (within minutes or weeks) are not unknown, in the same area.
To: fanfan
The answer to your question on the other thread is yes, you can see events that large on seismos here.
The event gets picked up at 13:04
Then you see the rolling waves. The earth is ringing like a bell.

I would be a fool to argue that. What is the historical record there?
