Deep canals are a more likely explanation.
Atlantis was supposedly built with a system of canals.

Details for the ocean maps on Google Earth come from sonar measurements of the sea floor recorded by boats - and the area around the Canaries was mapped by boats traveling in a series of straight lines.

The lines are perpendicular because the survey vessel(s) followed 90 degree azimuths. If the vessel(s) had overlapped the courses, we would see a rectangular area that appears uniformly rough like each of the lines.
That is a lie, it is on the ocean floor, they are trying to keep divers from going on there now. I just spoke to a person in the military, a high ranking official, there are two US Naval Ships over that area right now keep all at bay.
This looks like some sort of cold war relic. Perhaps the remains of an antenna array for very low frequency communication.
