A electrical grid worth it's salt will cost literally hundreds of billions of dollars. And just how are we to produce the huge amounts of electricity storage to recharge tens of millions of car batteries.
Coal/oil/nuclear are the only reliable long term ways of producing electricity.
And we know where the thousands of morons that want to either shut these sources down and minimize them are planning on. The rest of the methods described are not suitable in our hemisphere for what would be required.
Pickens is in it for increasing his personal wealth.
