This one is fascinating, like the “hot spot” in California. Haven’t seen any follow-up on that one, though.
Only logical leap-to-conclusion I can come up with is magma - in both cases.
You do understand there is is a difference science theory and engineering?

That is vastly different than saying a geological event can only happen by a magnitude 7 earthquake and lo' and behold it still happens when no magnitude 7 earthquake occurs!
Their scientific premise or "theory" are wrong or possibly a WAG, as opposed to an iphone being engineered.
