The Piltdown was exposed within a few years as a fraud but for most of the Darwinists it was just too good a “proof” to give up no matter how obvious the filed teeth in an orang jaw crudely attached to a human skull.

It just took forty years for the thing to fall of its own corrupt foundation.

But not to worry, there are frauds even now awaiting the same fate.

The Piltdown was exposed within a few years as a fraud

I've seen denounciations of Piltdown man as a hoax in anti-Darwin books written around 1920. One guy (I forget his name) said that part of it was fossilized and part of it was not. This turned out to be true. How did he know? And how did it escape the notice of Arthur Keith, Woodward, Smith, Osborn, and the rest of them? Shapiro (American Eugenics Society President -- one wonders why he is writing an apologetic about this) wrote in 1974 (Pildown and Peking):

But it still puzzles me that Woodward and Keith did not recognize that the bones of Piltdown man were not petrified and true fossils. Both of them had had enough experience with genuine fossils to distinguish them from relatively recent unpetrified bone.

but for most of the Darwinists it was just too good a “proof” to give up no matter how obvious the filed teeth in an orang jaw crudely attached to a human skull.

Just to illustrate what lengths Keith and Woodward went with the Pildown Man fantasy, read these:

The Antiquity of Man, Sir Arthur Keith
The Earliest EnglishmanSir Arthur Smith Woodward

Keith wrote this in 1938 (Nature):

We now know that when the Piltdown type was being evolved in England -- or at the Western end of the Old World -- a totally different type had come into being in the Eastern lands of the Old World. The Eastern types had low receding foreheads, modelled as in the gorilla and chimpanzee. The Western or Piltdown type differed; it had a relatively upright and high forehead, modelled not on gorilla lines but rather on those of the orang. While the Eastern forms retained in their shape of head the low squat type of the chimpanzee and gorilla, the Western or Piltdown type tended to assume the higher vaulted skull seen in modern races. There is no denying that in many of his features Piltdown man foreshadowed some of the structural modifications we find in modern races of mankind.
As late as 1950, Keith said, in his autobiography, that Piltdown was authentic beyond question.

Jay Gould said he thought Teilhard, the Jesuit priest helped Dawson perpetuate the fraud and knew it was just that.
(The Richness of Life, Gould, pg.183-5)

There were flint instruments recently made that no one seemed to notice, the artificial staining, the filed teeth, yet no one seemed to notice until the major players were dead or like Teilhard, too respectable to accuse.

Piltdown Man should be called Moth Man.

Title of the article is a lie.

Image in the title bar of the article is a lie.

Very first sentence is a lie.

Second sentenc e is a false conclusion based on the lie in the first sentence.

First sentence of the 2nd paragraph is a lie. OK, entire 2nd paragraph is a lie.

Do I need top continue reading yet another Brian Thomas *MS hunk-o-nonsense? Sure I do....

Every time Brian Thomas *MS adds a little personal touch with a phrase or sentence.....he shows his ignorance. Only in HIS world does everything "turn to dust"...gee Brian Thomas *MS....just because a body left in the open turns to dust, doesn't mean that all bodies turn to dust like most currently and observably do....some fall in a bog and persist for a few thousand years. Some are mummified and persist for thousands of years.

Hey Brian Thomas *MS....why didn't this guy turn to dust??????

.....and then there's the false conclusion:

Biblical data, however, not only provide the timeframe for the death of these dinosaurs in Flood deposits a few thousand years ago, but also a mode of deposition in agreement with observable data that their demise occurred when they "fell into a watery grave."

scientists routinely demineralize modern bones to get at the soft tissue

Which is EXACTLY the same thing as demineralizing soft tissue structure in a fossiliszed bone to get at....demineralized soft tissue structure. Must've learned that in Admin 601....

Yes, and it is a credit to science that frauds ARE called out when evidence is presented!

So, science gets the credit for exposing the frauds it perpetrates which creationists never believed were real in the first place?

Set up frauds and then take the credit for exposing them so then evos/scientists can make themselves look like the heroes for it.

What a racket.

You see, people of strong faith toss whole chunks of their faith out wholesale, because they're more worried about the opinions of men, than they are about their faith. They're demonstrating strength with such faith, you see.

It would take strong faith,.... in their system that it can provide enough evidence to be able to call God a liar by saying that He didn't really mean what He said in the Bible.

Just throwin’ this one out there, you know, thinkin’ out loud—erosion, perhaps?

That wouldn't be like the same kind of erosion that would explain why there isn't evidence everywhere on the planet for a world wide flood, now would it?

Paradox aleert!!! How did Amerind oral culture/tradition survive the Flood if Amerinds were not on the Ark or anywhere near the Holy Land to pass thewse oral traditions on to those few that were on the Ark?

Go on...answer a simple question. How EXACTLY did Amerind oral tradition of animals that all died in the Flood, told by humans that all died in the Flood....survive the Flood? No more dinosaurs after the Flood. No more Amerinds after the Flood. Yet, the oral traditions survived?

Riiiiiiiiiight.....

OMG....someone drew something...that means...IT'S REAL!!!! Some of the crazy insane stuff I've drawn in my life....once drew a sorcerer conjuring up a 3 headed beast....guess that's real now.

...but hey, if you wanna listen to oral traditions of ancient peoples...watch out for the Tikbalang!!!!

Are you really as dishonest as you seem? Piltdown, etc., were not frauds BY science, but attempted frauds ON science!

If you want to find a racket, look no further than the activities of the OP.

Fossilization is rapid when things are buried in a hot limestone solution. (the'flood' was exactly that)

OK....I'll buy that fossilization can be rapid if it occurs in a hot limeston solution.....but "the Flood was EXACTLY THAT"????????????? Lemme grab my internet Bible and read Genesis yet again.

Hmmmm....God said that He'd bring a flood of WATERS upon the earth. God said He'd cause it to RAIN upon the earth for 40/40. Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of WATERS was upon the earth. After the 7-days, the WATERS of the flood were upon the earth. RAIN was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. The WATERS prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the WATERS.

Where's all this HOT LIMESTONE SOLUTION??? The world was covered in hot limestone solution and nobody bothered to tell the writers???

.....and I'd venture to guess that you have no clue how limestone is formed.

Dinosaur bones lie just under the surface of the Earth in many places. They actually stick out of the ground in SOuth Dakota. Where is the millions of years of organic matter covering them?

....wind erosion, water erosion, glaciation.....

“But biochemical decay rates showing that soft tissues would be dust after all this time” (Brian Thomas)

—Actually, finding soft tissue in dinosaurs the size of dust would be an enormous improvement over what we are currently finding. Right now the best we’re finding are protein molecules about a billion times smaller than dust buried inside rock. It’s as if dinosaur fossils are from an utterly different time period than the fossils humans and mammoths that are thousands and tens of thousands of years old.

Thanks for your continued efforts in posting articles and pinging the list in the face of the name calling and belittling that inevitably happens if one dares call out the god of evolution. Your efforts are much appreciated!

So how did Amerind oral tradition survive the Flood when not one Amerind survived to pass on the oral tradition and not one dinosaur survived for future Amerinds to talk about?

Please DO bring up Ica stones...don't forget to mention that they were carved by a farmer and his wife to sell for $$$$$$$$$$$ to tourists and gullible doctors. Do you really believe every hoax that comes along?

So, drawings of things make's em real, eh?

ALIENS!!!

Dog headed man with tail!!!

Crazy horned big horn sheep!!!!

crazy eye-headed man!!!

How did modern-ish man kill a pterosaur and NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT IT!!!

ManBearPig!!!

Again, how did Amerind oral tradition survive the Flood when not one Amerind survived to pass on the oral tradition and not one dinosaur survived for future Amerinds to talk about?

That's BS. The very first batches of the things which turned up numbered in the tens of thousands. Nobody puts out that much effort on pure speculation when it wasn't even clear anybody would buy the things.
