Gen 2:19 Now out of the ground the LORD God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them.Interesting passage which seems to be counter evolution in that it says that the beasts and the birds were created after Adam.

There’s no plainer way that God could have indicated that He did not use evolution than that. Perhaps he was just speaking to the locals in the language they could understand. Like how He refers to the four corners of the fixed world. After all, if he had started talking about evolution, genes, dna, he would have lost his audience.
