A Very Very Happy Birthday to FR and Many Many thanks to Jim and John for all they have done to provide all of us with this forum. During the time my son and three other family members were serving in Iraq, FR brought me and my family a place to go to feel supported and to show our support for others facing the same situation. FR helped us through those agonizing 18 months. FR also helped us deal with the death of my father in November 2006. All the prayers and supportive comments from FReepers provided us with more than we could ever repay.
Congrats on what you’ve built.

FR! I didn't even know what a 'Freeper' was until some whacko lib on another message board accused me of being one in a discussion about Micheal Moore. So, I eventually became one.
I was busy that season. It took me 2 months to sign up. For a while I had a tagline that said, “if only I’d signed up 4 days earlier, I’d have a 3 digit freeper #” or somethin’ like that.
FR sure has changed. I never thought I’d be on the receiving end of so much vitriol when I supported a conservative for president this time around (Hunter) nor when I got relentless about the constitutional requirements for presidency on this constitutionalist website. I think RINOs outnumber conservatives on this website sometimes. Remember all the odd conspiracy theories about chemtrails or vaccinations or Vince Foster or whatever, back in the day? And now we’re called conspiracy theorists who make FR “look bad” when we point out that the pres hasn’t proven he’s eligible for the job.
I remember the Drudge link...and how upset everyone got when he took it down ...I think I found FR from googling White Water ...Wasnt “White Water Pages” or something like that first, before FR ?

My favorite memories:
- the 2000 election and meeting a lot of the SoCal FReepers at our Freeps on Wilshire. My sign was W1.
- Texas Cowboy's love affair of the best kind with Texas Termite, our miracle boy (Grandpas don't need to be related)
- Having my posts repeated verbatim by Rush, who can plagiarize me ANY TIME HE WANTS! I am a proud member of the Show Prep Club and yes, we do have high backed leather chairs and smoking jackets, but it's a very exclusive private club.
- Being "found out" as actually BEING Rush Limbaugh. One guy was absolutely convinced that I was really Rush on FR. I tried to honestly deny it but he was not buying it. So I started to have a little fun and drop football and golf references into my posts (YES, I did have to ASK someone for sports facts; I am blonde after all.). This guy wanted me to mention something on the air that would prove I was really him. That, I could not achieve. But how flattered was I?!
- Some of the threads here have been funnier than ANYTHING you could ever see in actual entertainment venues. I truly come here for full on belly laughs. [A la Seinfeld. I converted to Freepdom for the JOKES.] When something major happens, the most wicked humor appears within seconds on this site. See today's thread about Senator Sheets to prove my point.
- Sad news also travels quickly. FR gets you right to the source of nearly everything because FReepers are nearly everywhere. Some threads can make you cry and make you pray. It brings the world together. Sometimes a situation calls for action, and we get it done.
This is an amazing site. May G-d bless it and its founders for as long as possible.
