Didn’t I read somewhere that the coral reefs are formed of calcium CARBONATE?

You don’t get grants by telling people that everything is going to be fine.

"We've seen the evidence with our own eyes. Climate change is already impacting the Great Barrier Reef," said Prof Hughes, of James Cook University in Queensland. So, dumb ass Prof Hughes, climate change is impacting the Great Barrier Reef? So what would you stake your life on? That the climate needs to be colder or hotter? What a moron!!!

Desperation. The people who stand to make a lot of money from the Global Warming/Climate Change scam are beginning to see their scheme fall apart. People are on to them and they know it. This is why they are getting more shrill. Desperation is beginning to set in.

Ooh, very nice to have a personal anecdote added to this. I assumed he was an idiot, they certainly abound, but nice to know. Thanks.

I have acres of chunks of fossilized coral reef, up to 400’ thick, sticking out of my property here & there. There is more non-coral limestone as ‘basement rock’ under that, with various and sundry other layers in between. I know, because our well was drilled 970’, and every day the driller was working, I was there, too; the tailings were carefully cataloged as to depth, type, and formation they belonged to
About 15 miles from us is the “National Monument That Isn't”, Cycad National Monument. (Look it up, and laugh as you weep at the story.)
It is only 8 miles to The Mammoth Site, with over 50 excavated so far, plus much other assorted flora and fauna.
It's about a 4 hour drive to the south east to Ashfall; about 2 hours to the east is Badlands N.P., and its fossil beds.
Reefs are born, grow, die, regenerate endlessly worldwide; plants and animals come, and go extinct; continents drift; oceans rise and fall, as do mountains; glaciers grow (sometimes beyond all reason!) and recede...but the earth continues spinning.
But puny men believe mankind is the only destructive force (and nothing but a destructive force) that “will destroy Nature”, unless..., as if Man exists outside of nature. Quite frankly, a case can be made that "preservationists" have done more eco damage, than any other group.

Thanks ApplegateRanch. The most northerly inhabited landmass has extinct coral reefs. Must have been the SUVs...

And yet most road maps & atlases still show it. Up until about 6 or 8 years ago, the road signs were still there.

Great Barrier Reef 'will die' unless carbon emissions slashed Bunny rabbits will die wholesale, too.
Never mind that women and children will suffer most.

Has anyone else hear about finding the remnants of coral reefs at 10,000 foot elevation on some mountains?
Who's gonna come up with a way to prevent that?
Al Gore?

These ***-birds may actually succeed in giving science a bad name.
