Remember how Sting got that Indian up on stage and swore the Amazon rain forest had AT MOST 8 years left?

"Iron Eyes Cody", an early symbol for the environmental movement, was a second generation Italian American.

Some rock group had a bunch of trees planted and they died because they didn't provide for them to be watered.

Rock groups travel all over the world... they don't do it on bicycles.

So much for the glories of science.
Don’t confuse politics and science.

Science in the employ of politics makes science a whore.

You’re allowing youself to be confused by politicians who call themselves scientists.

Just as many TV preachers call themselves prophets of God, calling themselves prophets of God doesn’t make them such. I’ve never be taken in by them, and you shouldn’t be either.

Nor does their using Bible verses to make their pitch sully Gods Word, rather it sullies those who do it.

True scientists, using the scientific method, could never come to the conclusion this article talks about.

We are engaged in a semantic struggle. Lots of so-called scientists with graduate degrees in the sciences find funding through gov and foundation grants to research the impact of global warming and etc. They are duly credentialed as scientists but whore themselves for funding. This is not news. Grant money will always find test tube cleaners for hire.

To avoid permanently damaging the delicate balance of life on the reef, and to give the world's largest living organism a 50 percent chance of survival, global carbon emissions must be cut by 25 percent

A big glob of weasel words and numbers pulled out of the air.

I don’t know what this guy is talking about. Everybody knows the real truth is that if a snail darter swishes its tail in Tennessee, coral dies. And if a spotted owl flaps its wings in Oregon—Oh! The Humanity!

Don’t let extinction stand in the way of survival. :-)
