Not for a couple hundred years. Then it would come back.

I think we should treat this like the dreaded Ozone Hole.
Let’s get msm to go all splodynanas over this and meantime we’ll hammer Obama and Congress to DO SOMETHING or we’ll all be doomed!

LOL! Reminds of when one of my co-workers put a condom on a secretary’s three pronged cactus plant on her desk. Fortunately for him she thought it was funny. For even more fun, put a condom on someone’s exhaust pipe.

It will look sorta like this from space:
Some sort of magma tax is required...
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Interesting to see how the lake has been pushed up by the magma bubble, then flooding a forest on one side and revealing an old boat on the other tilted side.

Only a matter of time, it seems......KABOOM! Night Hides Not ~ December 2012, perhaps?
Your thought for the day:
About a month and a half after the election.
What do you suppose a lame duck psychopathic narcissist with his finger on The Button would do to a people who world that rejected him?

—now that H1N1 has proven a bust, along with bird flu, if the magma plume doesn’t blow in 2012, we can go back to worrying about the next asteroid collision—

If this thing went off, would global warming still be a serious issue? No, but global cooling very well might be.

Dang! We’ve only got about a thousand years before we have to get our affairs in order. Write wills, stock up on canned goods, store water in Clorox bottles, etc.
Good luck everyone, and Merry Christmas! :-)

A post a while back said some scientists think Yellowstone has become disconnected from it's magma chamber. I guess that's not happening. If this thing blows, my ash is probably toast.

Should Yellowstone start trading carbon credits now so they will be carbon neutral by the time it erupts?
Similar to healthcare...pay the taxes for years before the benefits (well there really aren’t any benefits are there?)
The CO2mmunists worry about control and taxation meanwhile all that science power isn’t being used for real threats to our existence.

Dumb question, but isn’t there enough energy under Yellowstown to power everything on the planet for the next hundred years?
No carbon emissions?
What am I missing?
