Well, it is pretty clear that most parents who care about their children’s education will supplement it with summer science courses with labs etc.
This proposal will hurt poor minority kids the most. We have a progressive left wing nut in Maine that wants to eliminate all homework in the name of equality. The children of the well educated will still study and work at home.
It will reduce the upward mobility of the poor.
Two lab sciences are REQUIRED to get into that other famous Berkeley institution, UC Berkeley. They prefer three. So I guess Berkeley High students won’t be eligible to even apply.
Well I as noted in a previous post, we have a “Progessive” elitist left wing nut in Bar Harbor who wants to eliminate all homework from the public schools. So this proposal is not surprising.

In all seriousness, parents who love their children must find a way to get them out of the government schools. Sacrifice some lifestyle if you must, but get them out.

Double the budget for Black & Latino studies and cut science, math and English. That will help the Black & Latino students get into college and get a good job.

Heck, science labs actually demonstate that science is more than theory and consensus. We can’t have those nasty white kids growing up to ask questions of Al Gore and the climatologists. We need them to trust in government and Al Gore, like the rest of the world.
