We are seen as food, (slaves, take your favorite subjected term) for an ailien race that returns every X000 years to harvest its food..If they're THAT smart, why do we taste like chicken? A truly intelligent, superior alien race would be raising Kobe Beef.
Uh-oh...

Michio Kaku is a grandstanding publicity hound and shameless self-promoter. He was one of the tub-thumping idiots trying to scuttle the Cassini mission to Saturn because of the spacecraft’s use of an RTG, and propagandized a batch of ridiculously absurd scare-mongering conspiracy theories designed to confuse a scientifically illiterate public during that effort.
I lost any respect for him over a decade ago, and none of his smarmy glad-handing in the media will ever make up for it.

Rant time! I tried to watch the video. Half of the screen is taken up with a banner. I am so sick of this cr@p. When I watch a TV program, ads for other programs tramp across the screen, logos appear in the corner of the screen. You have to get a large screen tv just to see the little bit of the current program playing.
Then they are saying it is not a comet because there is no sign of a tail. Looks like some kind of tail streaming off to one side to me. If he is so bloody smart, why not give a real explanation of why there appears to be a tail? A collision of two objects in space wouldn’t produce a “tail” twenty time longer than the “starburst” cloud around them, would it?

You are on target. Many of the more thought-full alternative science sites are discussing it in exactly those terms. AND 50,000-70,000 years would be about the right time frame for mankind to develop dense enough population levels to make culling a real efficient operation.
Time will tell.
