Snowbanks, EVERYWHERE, melt from the bottom up. It is no different with a glacier.

There is much to be said for observed “global warming” that has far less to do with anthropogenic sources, or even the solar radiation received, than from an exhalation of heat from the interior of our own planet.

Our earth’s core is cooling, but is still a huge resevoir of heat energy, kept at its present level by decaying radioactive isotopes. And we still have a lot of those.

Modern science would never connect this to the ice sheet sh-t they’re peddling now. They wouldn’t dare, too many little old pink haired are donateing big bucks to pass it up.

Volcanic eruptions, caused by global warming according to most “scientists” and “experts”, can really play hell with a sheet of ice.

The funny thing is that I think that one volcano produces more ‘green house gases’ than decades of human activity.

I'm still waiting for the libs to shut down Yellowstone...

"Ash field larger than the size of Wales."

Wales is 160 miles long by 60 miles wide, or 8,000 square miles.

One wonders how much larger...

I’d say his pockets are getting little lighter too.

Not only do his pockets deserve to be empty, but his fortunes should be made to peg the red side of the meter, and given his daddy's associations with Armand Hammer, he knows more than he lets on about red.

Algore's criminal, falsely pushing global warming onto the world's economies and politics should be "rewarded" with jail time for the rest of his living days!

Has anyone else noticed what seems to be an increase in volcanic and earthquake activity lately? Is it just better reporting or did the Mayans really know something?

I agree!!! What would the FDA to do someone if they were peddling snake oil??? Would you lose your fortune??? Would you end up doing jail time???? I think so.

I saw a similar show on TV 10 years ago on NOVA or something. These guys are really slow to come out with the story.

I noticed that. The ring of fire has become more active. I don’t know if the Mayan’s knew anything, but, something caused them to stop the calendar on Dec. 12, 2012. Could be more to do with, 12,000 year cycles on there calendars. I believe that’s what I read anyway. At any rate, I think we are going to see more and more natural disasters. At least that’s what the bible talks about. It’s obvious we are heading into the time 7 year time period of the great tribulation that the bible prophets and Jesus talked about.

Gee!Maybe that’s why the Antarctic icesheet is melting.I thought it was caused by human created global warming.

Maybe more a feeling of intimidation. Oh cr*p look what we found. The global warming worshipers are going to be ticked, there goes our funding.

There is a report that research was done by asking a descendent of the Aztecs. The person responded that there was no significance that the calendar ends when it does.

I would think the stone carver was also getting tired going on and on.

Increased warming from below can lead to calving (chunks falling into the sea). Another cause of calving is increasing pressure from uphill. When snow and ice build at the head of a glacier, it pushed down hill. When warming melts the glacier, it retreats.

I love the calving videos used as evidence of global warming. It is quite the opposite.

THIS is why Jonah Goldberg at National Review wants laser-equipped volcano-lancing airplane technology funded NOW!!!

Praise the Lord! *many thanks* prayers have been answered.

...and no, i'm not kidding. We caught a big break... however that occurred, i'm grateful.

Exactly correct. If, ten or twelve years ago, the US had signed on to anthropogenic global warming "AGW" and Cap & Trade, the past decade of cooling temperatures would have been "proof" of Al Gore's AGW warming theory and "proof" of the effectiveness of the Cap & Trade tax scheme to cool the Earth.

In the press it would have been "All hail Al Gore" make Al Gore the world's benevolent Monarch for life.

Man, these AGW clowns just can’t catch a break anymore. :)

This article came out 2 years ago and has been pretty much forgotten..........or ignored.

But, thanks to FR news diggers and the internet, I proudly pass them on to fellow AGW's who pass them on to other AGW's who pass them on to........and on and on and on

Yes... and we always recover nicely in just a couple years. God was just a bit smarter than our scientists, don't you think? :)
