Morons should be banned for wasting space.
I’m not sure I buy the conveyor belt idea.
I had heard another explanation a few years back. That there are these long, tornado-type arrangements of plasma in the sun.
They are held together by intense magnetic fields, caused by electricity traveling through them, which is fed by coriolis force.
As the sun rotates over time, the effect is like taking a spring and winding it. More and more. It gets tighter and tighter.
Then the spring breaks. And the spring breaking is when we get the solar maximum.
I dunno if he’s right. But he knew his stuff and it made a lot of sense to me.
