Pataki is that man. I predict he will be the new President if we get him to run.

Running on which party's ticket? Certainly the Republicans are not going to nominate a pro-abortion New York RINO. Not in 2012, not ever.

Bambi’s hubris does remind us of Pharoah saying to Moses: “So, is that the best you can do?”

I had to look up the pelican but that’s about what I suspected it was.

Actually a pretty neat idea that was ditched but has some applications.

Just like the way Mt. Pinatubo lowered the Earth’s climate by about a degree or so.

"I have always been fascinated with Iceland too. Not sure why."

The male DNA is from Sweden/Denmark(Vikings) and the female DNA is from Ireland. These are my people...genetically.

“Are there any “greenhouse gasses” coming from this volcano?”

No, according to government spokesmen, these are only emitted by coal-fired power plants or SUV’s not made by GM or Chrysler.

And it is NOT TOXIC when it lands and creates the building blocks for super fertile soil. It is all in the grand, beautiful scheme that our Lord created over billions of years.

I’ve been IN Kiluawea in Hawaii, and as volcanoes go, it’s fairly safe and predictable; it was the most interesting vacation that ever took. My sneakers melted a little...I had to run from the vog (volcanic fog of sulfuric acid) with my wife...it was interesting to see the weird plants that seem to thrive around the sulfuric hot vents. There were even a few hardy plants growing where lava had flowed about 10 years earlier. It’s only for the adventurous because you can cut yourself pretty badly if you fall on lava. Once things settle down a little, I’d like to go to Iceland on a vacation. It’s not really that far.

“...the airline industry likely would lose more than $200 million a day...”

I would think this is ‘gross receipts’. They are not paying for fuel not used, maintenance costs are down. Are they still paying crews, or do they only pay for crews when they work?

I think der leader should risk it and fly over to Europe to attend the ceremony. In fact, he should demonstrate how safe it is by circling the volcano a few times. He could then become the second Moses, this time for parting the ash cloud.

While at the ceremony, if he unfortunately gets there, he could explain his decision to not base the missile interceptors in Poland. I am sure this would be the right time for him to expland that to the masses one step outside the commie boot.

My brother and I are still discussing the DNA testing, I think we are very near the action point. We have 2 cousins brother and sister who want to do it too.

Taking the Slow Boat: Freighter Trips

A 65-day cruise on aboard a cargo ship?

That’s so bananas … you belong on a banana boat!

OK, not all cargo ships are carrying bananas, but if you choose to take the “slow boat,” you may find yourselves among shipments of televisions, coal or even containers of mail.

.... more bailout money and another reason to control air travel.

Are you perchance thinking that Rahm may decide to nationalize the airlines?

An American Aeroflot?

like the Russian plane that defied restriction and bolted from Moscow to Rome at low altitiude- and had to coast in to land?

The plane flew at 9,000 feet and had to refuel in Vienna, from accounts I read.

They forgot about Pinatubo so they needed a new reminder from Iceland about how small man is. Hopefully this further debunks global warming

The ash is not expected to pose a health risk as long as it stays in the upper atmosphere, the World Health Organization said.

OK, where does the ash eventually go? It certainly doesn't stay in the upper atmosphere forever.
