Kentucky Senate Primary Results

The Republicans’ best turned out to be Tea Party candidate Ron Paul, who won a landslide tonight against the candidate of the GOP establishment, Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson.

"To be fair, Mongiardo’s challenger, state Attorney General Jack Conway was hardly an outsider; Conway won the endorsement of the state’s last Democratic U.S. senator, Wendell Ford. Nonetheless, Conway racked up the endorsements of progressive netroots groups and a rack of labor unions, and managed to squeak out a victory that looks to be in the neighborhood a one-point margin."

Like it or not, Paul vs. Grayson was Tea Party vs. Establishment. Tea Party won. That's a good thing.

Now the race is Tea Party candidate (yea, flawed but not his Dad by any stretch) vs. progressive netroot and a labor union socialist hack. Who would you suggest a conservative vote for?

I voted for Rand Paul in the primaries, was a little apprehensive, Quite happy with my vote now, and will vote for him again. He is for coal not tree hugging, does not appear to be a yes man, Doubt i will vote for Mitch McConnell,I am tired of these establishment “got to be nice” politicians when we have this disaster in the White House

I would think so, although he did himself no favors here with voters by his lack of action after Hurricane Ike. Voters are starting to think maybe it is time for him to go, but not this election.

Cannot be worse than the spinning that some on here are doing for Fox News Channel....and their ownership/Al-Jazeera wannabe raising 300K for the 9/11 Terrorist Shrine.

I do not agree with Ron Paul’s comments regarding the 9/11 Terrorist Shrine....but it sure is not as scary as Fox News Channel and Prince Alwaleed bin Talal kicking in 300K for the Terrorist Shrine.

Sort of helps to explain the Fox newsies all mindlessly repeating, "Obama is a Christian."

Note: this topic is from 8/24/2010. Thanks libstripper.
Ron Paul has split with his son Rand over the mosque near Ground Zero... ripped into opponents of the religious and cultural center. In the statement Paul compares lawmakers to the infamous Emperor Nero, "It looks to me like the politicians are 'fiddling while the economy burns,'" and goes on to blame the neo-conservative movement for fueling the controversy, "They never miss a chance to use hatred toward Muslims to rally support for the ill conceived preventative wars."...
Yeah, particularly since he's a 9/11 Truther.
