Rush: “Compromise” is all about getting the Repubs to shoulder the blame for things the Dems have done.... It’s geared to getting them to go along with whatever Bowles/Simpson have to say next month.... He’ll say you can’t blame me, it was bipartisan. And don’t get caught up in Earmarks, it’s a trap! Big whoop, if we get rid of them we get rid of one-half of one percent, or less! So fine, get rid of ‘em, but they are a side issue and the fact that O brought them up MAKES them a side issue. He’d love to get compromise on Earmarks and the Repubs ought to say no big deal but it doesn’t even scratch the surface of what needs to done.
See, what Rush just said about the upcoming “quantitative easing” and inflation, etc..... THAT IS WHAT THE REPUBS need to be doing NOW!! Telling people, “look, here’s what they’re going to do next, this is the likely result and why they will do it — don’t fall for it.”
But the wait around and wait around and then do nothing but try to play defense through a corrupt media that will never, EVER give them a fair hearing. Uuuugggghhhh, it makes me crazy.
