Yes..umm...yes I believe that instead was his idea.
I will change it when the hit pace slows down a little.
Thank you —good eye.
Ah what the heck —I changed it 2 what you guys thought would be closer.
Thanks! ^_^
Think of it as comparable to what New Yorkers saw on 9/11 or what our troops see everyday.
There was no way many of them made it out, not forgetting the hundreds that perished before as the water made its way.
You can see a white vehicle go in an underground tunnel along with others, drivers unaware.
Not long after the tsunami water blows through the tunnel the other way.
Unimaginable horror.
Thanks...I definitely got the drift of that interpretation. I cannot imagine what it would be like to watch that.
When I was in the USN, I saw a plane crash one night trying to land on the carrier. I had a birds-eye view, and I think I may have been the only person on the forward part of the flight deck who saw it from that perspective. I had the most unreal feeling, as I saw an F14 climb slowly in front of the ship, then stall, and slowly fall into the ocean.
I remember thinking “I can’t believe this. 40 million dollars just descending in slow motion towards the ocean right in front of me and disappearing without a trace, and two men dead...just like that.” (They punched out, but I didn’t see it)
But that comparatively small feeling of disbelief, multiplied overwhelmingly by thousands of times, seeing houses, buses, trains, ships and people all being swept away in front of your eyes is simply unimaginable.
Unimaginable.

I lived there for a few years as a kid, but never achieved a vocabulary more useful than basic things like “Hold the bus please!” and so on.
I would defer to you on this...hope you are doing okay.
Look, n00b. Quit playing forum cop. I checked your posting history, and playing forum cop is about all you've done since you showed up last November.
No one gives a rat's ass that you've seen this posted before. Now, knock it off!

Amen. Thanks, Windflier.
Come on people, search is your friend...
You’re a smart ass. A lot of us haven’t seen this.
Agreed. Also, this thread is a bit different with subtitles added by the freeper who started the thread. I don’t recall seeing that addition in the other threads on this video.
Oh my gosh, that is ghastly. At first the kids were in wonder at the spectacle, and when they then saw their whole town flooding and the houses washing away, their cries and screams were just heartbreaking to me. I was imagining my teenager up on that hill seeing his world washing away... People dying...
Did you see near the beginning there were cars driving normally under the bridge INTO the town, apparently completely unaware of what was happening. No cars made it out. Too sad to watch, G-d bless all the people who were lost.
Yes, these things are lifelong images ~ and they do guide your behavior in similar situations.
Holy smokes!
Here’s an even more dramatic tsunami video.

Talk about cutting it close!
You again. Get a friggin’ life, noob. You’re a jerk.
Chilling.
I’d say those people didn’t make it.
It makes me weep but it also makes me humbled to see brave Japanese running down to save their fellow countrymen, at great risk to their lives.
