Yikes! My son has just left Ushuaia yesterday, is in Rio Gallegos now, and is headed north. I guess he’ll have to go back up by way of Argentina instead of through Chile. I was hoping he could go through Chile. www.threewheels.net
Wow ... you're seriously uncertain as to a "relationship" between foreign policy and volcano eruptions. You "don't know", but consider it possible.
That's amazing.
That's appalling.
That's frightening.
Yeah ... go whining to the moderator.
I suppose that sort of thing is to be expected.
Seriously ... the rest of the stuff you're going on about, whatever its merits one way or another, is irrelevant.
This is about a "relationship" between foreign policy and volcanoes.
And if you seriously "don't know" ... if you seriously think it might be possible ...
hmmm
If that's the case, I really feel sorry for you.
I asked you a question. That was an interrogative sentence, not a declarative sentence. You could answer it "yes", answer it "no", give a more complex answer, or ignore it. Your choice. Misrepresenting a question as an accusation, however, is not a hallmark of honest discourse.
You puke up a load of false accusations ... then go running off to the moderator.
Wow.
I'm really impressed.
If I may offer a suggestion ... you could just admit that the idea of a "relationship" between volcano eruptions and foreign policy is absurd.
Here's the relevant part of your post #13:
[1]Frankly I think there is often too much connection on this stuff. [2]OTOH, perhaps not everything should be ignored, either.
[3]As someone else noted, Chile also has a significant Palestinian population.
I observe 3 declarative sentences in your reply.
With [1] above, I completely agree. I'm quite sick of seeing this sort of mindless garbage posted on this forum. Its a discredit to this forum, to conservatives, and to Christians and Jews. You're not the only guilty party, so don't take my objection personally.
However, [2] above is simply absurd. Some things should be ignored ... or if not, rejected out of hand and ridiculed. This tommyrot about "relationships" between foreign policies and natural disasters is an idiotic example of magical thinking. I expect it from pagan nature worshipers. I expect better from FReepers.
Sentence [3] is even worse. So there are a lot of palestinians in Chile; Christian palestinians. BFD. What's the significance of that? Do palestinians deserve to be subjected to volcano eruptions? Has their presence irritated the "volcano gods"? Something else? What's the point?
Of some 2,000 volcanoes in Chile, about 500 are activeWow, seems like kind of a lot. :'o

I don't think the author knows their fumarole from a hole in the ground.
I wonder how many volcanoes erupt on FR each day?
