Has the President chimed in on the happenings on the Sun? I am wondering what failed policies of the Bush administration are actually to be found to be the cause of this solar trend.

In the many years I have been a ham this is the worse sunspot cycle I have ever seen.

It’s a joke. After seeing Climatology practiced as a Globe trotting spread the wealth instrument, I just had to make fun of it. I read the article, but it’s nothing we haven’t know for decades from tree ring comparisons to solar cycles. Geez, it was there all this time!

Well, I'm still a clinging to my gun, Holy Bible and possum stew. You science types can't read. Genesis never says 1000 years, or 7000 years. the 'Young Earth' theologys a creation of the 19th Century reformers. The Book of Enoch explains the planetary geology and cosmology to perfection. Imagine those primitive savages well aware of orbits, ellipces etc,

The Hebrew term used applies to ages, or epochs, or periods (such as the Cretacous Period). I have found ample support for several prior civilizations pre dating the flood perhaps many, many times over. It seems mankind makes the same arrogant mistakes over and over.

It is the worse because there are no sun spots to speak of, this precludes long range radio contact on the high frequencies such as 10 meters and 6 meters. I am speaking purely as a ham.

Almost became a ham many years ago in high school - but was too busy with other things to learn code. Morse code was a nice requirement - kept out the people who lacked the seriousness to participate... Are you talking about a bounce off type issue?

* If they claim the Sun has no significant impact on Earth’s climate, then as it continues to cool – their models and projections continue to be falsified making it increasingly apparent that CAGW is a falsified hypothesis.

* If they admit the Sun does impact Earth’s climate in substantial ways, they get a small temporary fig leaf to blame for why their projected warming has been delayed, however they are also admitting that the Sun may have been driving most or nearly all of the climate change we’ve seen. They would also be opening the possibility of dramatic solar forced cooling in the future which scares most people far more than warming.

They can’t have it both ways.

I’m not surprised. Here in Utah, Monte Cristo pass is still impassible with 5-10 FEET of snow. I’ve lived in this area for 40 years (OK, minus my 6 years in the Navy) and I’ve never seen this amount of snow. Snowbird and Snow Basin ski areas are officially staying open until July 4th. That has never happened!

Just last year, the enviralists were putting out stories about how the ski areas are going to go out of business and winter snow is coming to an end due to global warming. Ha ha!!
