There has been a significant change in USA temperatures. Since 2000, USA winter temperatures have been in decline and since 2006, USA Summer and Annual Temperatures have been in decline.
If we go back 15 years, 2011 - 15 = 1997, the 2d year of the last “global warming” sunspot cycle. That cycle was stronger than most of the sunspot cycles from 1700 to 1934.
There is a climate lag affect/effect based on the overall warming of the earth and the effect of green house gases. It takes time for the earth to cool to and into the present sunspot minimum.
