Thanks for sharing that. Stories like this get pushed to the background by bad news, but they deserve to be heard.

It's contrasted by the attitude of some of the OWS crowd who say that "the military has free medical care, why shouldn't the rest of us."

In all honesty, I think that some of their points are valid. Wall street fund managers are the guys who bundled the sub prime mortgages together and sold them to unsuspecting investors. I agree that paying someone 5 million dollars after they've been fired is excessive.

On the other hand, I don't think that their demonstration is an effective way to address the problems. If they really wanted to fix the issues they would go after the people who wrote the legislation that allowed this (i.e, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd). They should also look at starting their own bank that has lower executive compensation and passes the savings on to customers.

As a minimum, they should not patronize the offending institutions.
