I’m so completely biased in Israel’s favor, that I have no use for the Arabs. They’re nomadic anyway and Jordan is their home. Look what they’ve done to Gaza. Israel should never again cede any land. I think it’s time to reclaim land and keep it.

Israel is doing this. Israel is saying that. Israel believes this, that and the other thing. Who is this Israel? There are numerous actors and talkers here, some of whom would agree with what Plaut is saying, but some of whom would not. But Israel is not embodied in any one person, and Israelis do not have one voice. Would that we did.
The word, “mottled”, comes to mind.
