Not to worry....
Welcome King Barack "Canute" Obama the Great.....
...Obama issues an Executive Order to the Sun...
....to increase it's magnetic field....
and make a good crop of sunspots before elections in 2016....
(PhysOrg.com) -- Sunspot formation is triggered by a magnetic field, which scientists say is steadily declining. They predict that by 2016 there may be no remaining sunspots, and the sun may stay spotless for several decades.
The last time the sunspots disappeared altogether was in the 17th and 18th century, and coincided with a lengthy cool period on the planet known as the Little Ice Age....and lasted 400 years.
Good luck surviving with no electricity and GE modified seeds.

Can’t the UN join forces with Al Gore and just forbid it?

While the researchers in the US said the data showed a decline in activity, they had no way to predict what that might mean for the futureBut computer models based on a theory its own creator disavowed are super reliable predictors.

A Ice Age even a mini one is reason for serious worry in ways that Global Warming never could be.
Shorter growing seasons, more fuel required in winter months, less tillable land.
Malnourished people get sick easily, you have epidemics.
Last time we lost between 20% and 40% of the population. This time it could be much worse.

So moving to the Philippines could be a good thing.
It might end up in the temperate zone.

No problem. All we need to do is reverse the measures that the IPCC tells us slows down AGW (go back to driving bigger cars and SUVs, massively increase carbon footprints everywhere, let the developing countries develop, encourage pedal to the metal capitalism globally, etc) and voila! enough warming to mitigate the cool down.
Win-Win for all, right? Even that poor polar bear sitting on the broken piece of ice, begging us to stop the warming, will be grinning ear to ear for the TIME magazine photographers.
This controlling the climate thingy is a snap.

The worse part about it is there is nothing we can do to stop it, shorten it or control it in any way.
All we can do is come up with ways to reduce the numbers of those that die.
