The incompetence of the USG isn’t now going to cease simply because the idea just became yours.

1/2 my a$$. You want the business community to select our immigrants thru a sponsorship system, which will be unworkable and labor intensive to monitor. Unless you are willing to impose draconian measures like the Saudis have, guest worker programs don't work. The workers don't go home and the impact on the wages and jobs of the native born is a disaster. I have provided a workable plan that does depend on the willingness of the government to enforce. We have the laws and the capability to implement it. The problem is the political elites' willingness to enforce them.

It is less about incompetence than it is corruption and pushing the agenda of special interests.
